Kboodle is a digital storytelling platform that lets you create, preserve, and share multimedia albums and stories with photos, videos, audio, and more.

A Kboodle Story is a digital collection of memories, events, photos, videos, and stories that tells someone’s journey through life, captures a family vacation, or shares any meaningful occasion or topic. It’s a place to:

• Document important life events and milestones
• Share cherished memories and family stories
• Keep photos, videos, audio recordings, and more together
• Pass a story on to future generations
• Inspire your students, engage your customers, and showcase your business

A Kboodle Story is where you do the creative work: you create events, add photos, videos, and other media, and edit everything. A Kboodle Album is what you share. To make one, you choose which events from a story to include, add a title and an optional subtitle, and pick a font and a color theme. A story can’t be shared directly, but you can share albums in many ways, and you can create as many as you like.

Almost everyone! You can easily create life stories for your parents, your children, your pets, yourself, or anyone special to you. Kboodle also works for professionals, including teachers, real estate agents, creative professionals, tour operators, event planners, and care professionals.

Kboodle is designed to be easy to learn. Drag and drop your photos, videos, and audio, or import photos from Google Photos, and the timeline keeps everything in order. Adding a shortcut to your Home Screen lets you open Kboodle, or a specific Shared Album, with one tap, like any other app on your device. These steps work on iPhones, iPads, and Android phones and tablets.

Tip: To save a Shared Album, open the album's link in your browser first, then follow the steps below.

iPhone and iPad (Safari)

1. 1. Open Safari and go to Kboodle or your Shared Album link.
   2. Tap the Share button (a square with an arrow pointing up). On iPhone it's at the bottom of the screen. On iPad it's at the top.
   3. Scroll down and tap Add to Home Screen. Don't see it? Scroll to the bottom of the list, tap Edit Actions, and add Add to Home Screen.
   4. Type a name for the shortcut (for example, the album's name).
   5. Tap Add in the top-right corner.

Android phones and tablets

Google Chrome

1. 1. Open Chrome and go to Kboodle or your Shared Album link.
   2. Tap the three-dot menu (⋮) in the top-right corner.
   3. Tap Add to Home screen (on some devices: Install app or Install and create shortcut).
   4. Rename the shortcut if you'd like, then tap Add.
   5. Tap Add automatically, or press and drag the icon to where you want it on your Home screen.

Mozilla Firefox

1. 1. Open Firefox and go to Kboodle or your Shared Album link.
   2. Tap the three-dot menu in the toolbar.
   3. Tap Add to Home screen (on some versions: Install).
   4. Tap Add to confirm.

Yes. Anyone who joins Kboodle through you earns you both account credit once they subscribe.

Kboodle supports a wide range of media types, including:

• Writing help: Jot down a few bullet points and AI can turn them into a polished event description. It can also fix spelling and punctuation, make your writing longer or shorter, or follow your own instructions. You approve everything before it’s saved.

Your stories are stored in the cloud, and you control who can see them with private or public sharing. Kboodle QR Pictures™ and QR Stickers™ are public, so anyone who scans one can view what it links to. See our Privacy Policy for details.

Yes. You can share an album privately with the people you choose, share it publicly, or share it to social media. Kboodle QR Pictures™ and QR Stickers™ are public, so anyone who scans one can view the album it links to.

Yes. You can invite family and friends to upload photos, videos, and other media to your story. You decide which events go into the albums you share. People you invite set up a free account once, and all they need is an email address.

You’ll have plenty of time. After a free trial, your stories stay viewable for 90 days. After a paid subscription ends, they stay viewable for 6 months. You can subscribe or resubscribe anytime during that period to restore full access, and we’ll email you along the way. Stories are permanently deleted only after that time has passed. Kboodle works on smartphones, tablets, and computers, and you can use it on more than one device.

The “k” comes from “kit,” meaning a collection of tools, and “boodle” is thought to come from the Dutch word “boedel,” meaning property or inventory. The same words are the likely source of the familiar phrase “the whole kit and caboodle,” which refers to an entire collection. That’s what Kboodle offers: a set of tools to organize, preserve, share, and turn your photos and videos into a story.
